Beautiful People You Love To Hate
Beautiful People You Love To Hate

Tyson and Bree are those people you love to hate. The super gorgeous, hipster-looking, amazingly haired, coffee snobbish, perfect together couple. The trouble is… If you ever meet them in real life, you’ll fall in love with them in about 10 seconds. Bree is so approachable and sweet and Tyson is like a throwback to the gentlemen of yesteryear. I love them so much that all I want is for their wedding to hurry up and get here so I can photograph them some more.

I mean, they can do anything. Tyson is all like dorky-flirty with Bree in this image.

Then 4 seconds later I say, look this direction and it’s like I’m suddenly shooting for Abercrombie. (or whereever the beautiful people buy clothes nowadays.)

And I LOVE their story….

Tyson and Bree met while attending UNT. Bree was walking around campus with a giant black portfolio art book thing and Tyson took notice of her pretty soon. Well, technically he noticed Luca first. Luca was Bree’s cocker spaniel. True story: Tyson said he may have liked her dog more than Bree at first.

Bree, noticing what an amazing dude Tyson was, soon made a super cool flip book to ask him out. Tyson told me that he was “always crazy intrigued by her” and once he found out she was interested in him, he took the lead. That was back in 2010 so today I think he may like Bree MORE than Luca, but I don’t know. Luca didn’t join us for the shoot.

After stomping around the Bishop Arts District, Bree mentioned she wanted to go take some with “the big white bridge.” So we Googled that bad boy, went over, and took a few. But honestly, I knew we could do better.

So we risked life and limb, and played chicken with a few cars, and ended up with a better view.  :)

PS. The pretty white bridge is dirty if you look real close.

Thanks you guys for being that super gorgeous, hipster-looking, amazingly haired, coffee snobbish, perfect together couple that I love to love.

Engagement Photos Super Post
Engagement Photos Super Post

I’ve been slammed this past week with 6 different shoots.  Each of theses couples was so great and it just didn’t feel right to not give them at least a little bit of blog love.

First up, Sarah & Caleb.  I adore their story about how they met and will share it with you soon when their July 4th wedding rolls around.  I don’t often end up in a field at sunset but this tree near Sarah’s home was too great to pass up.

Tory & Brett are super perfect for each other.  They are both first year high school teachers & coaches.  They met at the start of school this year and are getting married at the start of summer. :)  They coach baseball, softball, volleyball, basketball, track, football, and who knows what else.  Brett played a bit of college ball at DBU as well as some minor league ball for the Normal Cornbelters. (click the link to see their AMAZING mascot.)

And finally we end our post with Jaime & Alan.  The only thing Jaime loves more than barrel racing is her fireman.  The only thing Alan loves more than fighting fires is his Jaime.  I am ALWAYS a fan when a guy seems big and strong enough to snap me in half, yet is tender and soft spoken to his bride to be.  (Nice find Jaime.)  Look for Alan in the 2015 Centerville Firefighters Calendar.  ;)

JoDee & Mike’s story began like any great love story.  It began with him putting a glass slipper on her foot.  Well, technically it was a cleat. And, technically it was not made of glass, but who’s really keeping up at this point.  Mike had just moved back to Dallas after serving in the Air Force and one day while playing kickball with his buddies he came across this girl with a busted cleat.  He offered to tape it up and they lived happily ever after.  Mike is now a Sous chef at Lucia.  This super great Italian food place located in the Bishop Arts District in Dallas.  These two kept me laughing their whole session.  Take a look at how great they are together.

I thought it would be fun to use the Japanese handmade knife that Mike will keep for the rest of his life as a prop when shooting the ring JoDee will keep for the rest of her life.

Lauren & Daniel were so chill during their session.  They were up for anything and totally laid back.  It even drizzled a bit during their session but since she commutes to Seattle on a weekly basis that didn’t even phase them one bit.

Nothing can stop the awesome train that is Lauren & Daniel.

I am giddy about their June wedding.  (Hey Barbara of La Tee Da Flowers, you better bring your A-game to this one!)
