My Favorite Bride
My Favorite Bride

Over past year or so I found Danielle going through more and more Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm.  It’s something that I like to pick on and wanted to get a photo of it to document this little stage in our life.  I have always loved the artwork for Supersize Me and knew that the chapstick would make for the perfect parody.  Ironically, this is the only red shirt she owns. (It’s one I made for her when she went to get her drivers license renewed.)  One of the reasons’ I love Danielle so much is that she let’s me be “me”.  She’s willing to play along with my little games and does not get too annoyed with me.  (I can be very very annoying.)

She is much more comfortable snapping a shot with her iPhone than with my big fancy camera, but, if it were not for her trust, encouragement, and support there is no way I would be the photographer I am today.

She is my biggest cheerleader.
She visited my blog when no one else did.
She believes in me when I don’t believe in myself.

I am honored that she continues to choose me and could not imagine living my life without her next to me.  She constantly is giving of herself to those life sucking things we call children and her encouraging words are what keep me going in the hard times.

Weddings have very little to do with marriage, but spouses have everything to do with them.
I am so thankful to have the best person I know for a spouse.

I love you D.

1 Wedding, 2 Lego People, & 10 Pins
1 Wedding, 2 Lego People, & 10 Pins

Christina & Josh had what may be the most laid back/fun wedding I have ever attended.  Need proof?  Take a look.

Christina started her day getting her hair done at the Avalon Salon & Spa. :)

Here is a little taste of how cool this wedding was.  This was her bouquet from the rehearsal.  It was made from E-mails Josh had sent her when he was overseas serving in the military.

You may remember these two love Legos.  I borrowed their cake toppers for the ring shot.

Some First Look photo goodness.  It’s amazing how Josh totally relaxed the moment he saw Christina.
Reason To Have A First Look # 356: Talking with your bride with no one else around.
Reason To Have A First Look # 648: Kissing with your bride with no one else around.
Reason To Have A First Look # 176: Praying with your bride with no one else around.

Is it OK if we jump straight to the reception?  It was at the swanky and fun 300 Club in Addison.

Wanna see more from their wedding?  You’re in luck.  The Mug Machine was there and I’ll be posting those photos soon!

Kasey & Chad | Elmwood Gardens (Part 2)

I know I already posted some images from Kasey & Chad’s Elmwood Gardens wedding, but they had so many stinking details that I had to give them a post of their own.  Here they are for your viewing pleasure.

2009 May Rewind
2009 May Rewind

I started doing this last month and got a good little response so I think a tradition has been born.  It’s time to jump back to May of 2009 and take a look at some of my favorite images from the month.  It’s crazy for me to think that I shot these frames last year, some of them only feel like I took them 3 months ago.

:) Past couples, this is your chance to leave a nice comment about me and how much fun I was to work with. :)

Kasey & Chad | Elmwood Gardens (Part 1)

Kasey & Chad got hitched a few nights ago at Elmwood Gardens, there were so many great shots that I’ll be splitting their blog post into two. :) Here is Part 1.

You may wanna turn the brightness on your monitor down before looking at this next image. :)

Bonus points if anyone can tell me where I shot their rings.

A few from their First Look.

This is Chad’s little girl.  She may have had more fun that anyone that day.

Another one of the flower girls.

Sometimes the Unity Sand does not cooperate.

A quick teaser image from the evening.

I’ll be posting tons of detail and reception shots next week!
