Jessica & Austin are the exact type of couple I love to photograph. They are giddy about each other and are more excited about getting married than they are planning their wedding. :)  We started their session at Dona Maria, a little mexican food place near Austin’s place.  They eat their pretty much every day and the staff knows them by name.  If you know where this place is, you have to try it.  And, if you see them there, just smile and wave. (Don’t be creepy.)

We then headed off into the city.  Starting at the spot where Austin proposed.

Random awkward photo holding hands with President Bush?  Yes please.

The graffiti brought out the thug in Austin.

Thanks for a great morning.  You two were a blast.

15 Engagement Session Ideas
15 Engagement Session Ideas

Couples are always asking me this question:
“What should we do for our engagement session?”
That always turns into me asking them this question:
“What do you like to do?”

You see, I feel like whatever it is you like to do then that’s what we should do.  Just because you are engaged does not mean you need to go walk on the railroad tracks.  You are not a train conductor.  Step AWAY from the train tracks.  Here are just a few things that some of my couples have done on their session.

1. Walk your dog.

2. Go dancing3. State Fair
4. Lake5. College
6. Lego Store
7. Austin
8. Bowl
9. Piano
10. Fight
11. Fountain
12. Beer
13. Trampoline
14. Parking Garage
15. Car Wash

See,  it’s easy.  Do what you love with someone you love; I’ll photograph it and you’ll love it. :)

Also, all you non-engaged people out there, toss out a few ideas in the comments to help everyone out.

Candace & Covy | Lake Engagement Woodlands, TX

Candace is the type of bride I LOVE to work with.  She is super excited about her photography and will go all out to make it unique.  She E-mailed me an idea she had about going out onto a lake for part of her session and I knew right then this would be a great shoot.  She was however pretty nervous when we started shooting.  After a little while her and Covy loosened up but I still knew she was anxious to see the images.  I gave her a little sneak peek yesterday and when she saw them this is what she wrote me.

(I think she liked them.)  Anyway, here are more “fabulous” images for you or Candace to fall in love with.

Rex kinda thought the whole day was about him.

A quick outfit change and we were off to The Woodlands.

Candace and Covy both are great laughers.  I think it’s when they are most “themselves”.

I think this is against the rules, but they are cool like that.

Thank you two for a great evening and session.
