Darcee picked out the perfect location for her bridal session.  It is an old/new house located just outside of Kilgore and I think  I could shoot there 12 times and not shoot in the same locations.  Brides, if you are looking for a great location you need to get in touch with Missy.  Email her and get on the calendar. (missymerritt@hotmail.com)  Don’t believe me?  Take a look.

How about a long slow clap for the incredible florals from La Tee Da Flowers.
Thanks Darcee for a great session and extra big thanks to Missy for opening up your house.

Wanna see more images of Darcee?  You dont’ have a long wait.
Her wedding is only about a week away but her engagement session should hold you over.

Sometimes I feel bad charging people money for what I do.  I mean take this session for instance.  I got to hang out with cool people, run around Kyle Field, play Skip-Bo, and eat at Freebirds.  I mean really.  I should have paid them.  How awesome are these two?

Did we bust out onto Kyle Field and shoot a ton of images?  Why yes.  Yes we did.

We then headed over to where they had their first date.

Josh proposed over a game of Skip-Bo.  50 cool points for him.

Oh, and if Denise looks familiar it’s because I shot her brother’s wedding earlier this year.

You should go see all of those images here: One of my favorite Aggie weddings.

Candace & Covy | Lake Engagement Woodlands, TX
Candace & Covy | Lake Engagement Woodlands, TX

Candace is the type of bride I LOVE to work with.  She is super excited about her photography and will go all out to make it unique.  She E-mailed me an idea she had about going out onto a lake for part of her session and I knew right then this would be a great shoot.  She was however pretty nervous when we started shooting.  After a little while her and Covy loosened up but I still knew she was anxious to see the images.  I gave her a little sneak peek yesterday and when she saw them this is what she wrote me.

(I think she liked them.)  Anyway, here are more “fabulous” images for you or Candace to fall in love with.

Rex kinda thought the whole day was about him.

A quick outfit change and we were off to The Woodlands.

Candace and Covy both are great laughers.  I think it’s when they are most “themselves”.

I think this is against the rules, but they are cool like that.

Thank you two for a great evening and session.

Cristina & Jose | Shreveport Engagement Session
Cristina & Jose | Shreveport Engagement Session

3 minutes into our 1st meeting Cristina & Jose became one of my favorite couples for 2011. I have been DYING to do their shoot and they did not disappoint. We headed over to Shreveport for their session and had more fun than should be allow while working. Enjoy a few of the photos then I’ll let you in on a secret about them at the end of the post.

They love to go down to The Boardwalk in Shreveport and shop.  Before we hit the shops though, I fell in love with the parking garage.  I could have shot there all day.

I’ve already had 19 people from Nike call saying they want to use them in their next campaign.

Jose proposed to her with her ring in a bowl of ice cream so that was a must for today.

Oh yeah, remember that secret I promised?  Here it is.  These two are already married.  They totally had a small family only ceremony in June of 2010.  They decided after that they still wanted to have a big party/reception this November.  How fun is that?  I asked Cristina if this was an excuse to get to buy 2 wedding dresses, have two anniversaries, and basically get more gifts from Jose each year;  she just smiled. :)  I also asked them if they were nervous about the session and their thoughts on how it went.  Here is what they had to say.
