We made our annual trip out to the pumpkin patch a few days ago and I just know all my blog readers are dying to see some pictures…. right…. right?

We have scooters at home, but for some reason they are never as cool as the ones at the patch.

Also in the spirit of Halloween, I have a super cool, slightly gross photo of one of my wisdom teeth that was pulled next to one of Jo’s 1st teeth that fell out. Danielle told me I could not show it, but a “Click here to see it” was allowed. :)

You know it’s going to be a good wedding when the bride’s gift to the groom is a bottle of Crown Royal and…. a Bible?

I LOVE the pains that brides go through to look good. You ladies could literally walk out in shorts and flip flops and we would still marry you. You know this right?

Question: How do you keep a bunch of guys in one room for 20 minutes before a wedding?

Answer:

Randall’s dress was amazing, see more of it from her Same Day Edit bridal session, but the bridesmaid and flower girl dresses also were super fun.

Rachel has been Randall’s best friend since the 6th grade. Rachel has 3 brothers and says Randall is like the “sister she never had”. From now on when Sara asks us for a sister I’ll just tell her to wait till she gets to 6th grade. :)

There was a bit of a dance off. It ended when Groomsman X slid up to Groomsman Y and ripped open his shirt.

What’s this… Alex M shooting a family session? I know, I know, pick your jaws up off the floor. This does happen from time to time, but only when a family can convoke me they are up for it. :) Not long after I did Randall & Danny’s engagement session she mentioned that her Uncle and his family would be contacting me for some photos. Sure enough they got in touch with me and I’m thrilled that they did. They wanted just what I try to capture when doing family sessions. Real Life.

One quick thing… I was going to write Rocky a little E-mail and tell her how great her kids were, but I decided it would be more fun to do it here on the blog so everyone can read it. :) Carter’s, your kids were AMAZING. They are far and away the best behaved most polite two kids I have ever been around in my life. Now granted, it was only 3 hours, and I’m sure they can be a pain at times, but trust me when I say this: You two are doing something right. Keep up the great work. I love love love your family.

OK, on to the images. These 4 are some hunting fools. (Any of you who have seen my snake attack video know I’m also a super great hunter.) We spent the first half of the session in the woods shooting things. I felt like a man.

How cute is Jada?


This was a fun shot to get. It also serves as a reminder that I should probably do a good job on Randall & Danny’s wedding this Saturday. :)

I asked Zach and Jada to “go stand over there” and this is what they did. Seriously?  How perfect are they?



Don’t let the camo and arrows fool you.  As great of a little hunter as he is, he’s even better big brother.


Jada picked up her mom’s phone and started “acting” like her momma.

If you look hard enough you can see Jada throwing up a peace sign as they fly past me.



I asked Jada if I could take her pictures when she got married and she said I could, but she told me she was not getting married for at least another 20 months. :)

Kristen and Brandon were so great to photograph. They are both laid back and hanging out with them was so much fun. Brandon played baseball all through college so starting on the field was a good fit for their engagement session.

When we pulled up for these shots at the park I saw a couple who was walking two dogs but also had a double wide baby stroller with two dogs riding in it! How awesome is that?

Look for these two around May when they get married at the uber cool Villa di Felicita!

I had so much fun on Erin’s bridal session. Her engagement session was a blast (they were a Same Day Edit) so I knew that this one would be great as well. I’m already looking forward to starting 2010 with a bang with their Jan 2nd wedding!

The 67 Firebird was cool, but it was not the best prop she had for the session. (trust me)

It’s almost impossible to catch her not smiling or giggling.

Erin has a great voice and is in the music program at UT Tyler. The stage was a natural fit…

Remember that comment about a the “best” prop. How about an opera helmet! Best. Prop. Ever.
